  ​We meet with you and your whānau to discuss your wishes, answer any questions, and guide you through the options available.
• Choosing the Stone
  We help you select the most suitable stone, colour, finish, size, and style to create a memorial that reflects your loved one.
• Design & Inscriptions
  Working together, we prepare a personalised design that includes inscriptions, dates, artwork, photographs, or other meaningful details.
• Quotation
  Once the design has been discussed, we provide a detailed quotation outlining the costs for materials, workmanship, installation, and any other associated expenses. When you accept the quote, your memorial is scheduled for production.
• Proof Approval
  Before production begins, you'll receive a design proof to review and approve, ensuring every detail is correct.
• Production
  Your memorial is crafted at our Whakatāne workshop by our experienced stonemasons using quality materials and proven craftsmanship.
• Installation
  When complete, we professionally install the memorial at the cemetery or urupā, or arrange collection if preferred.
• Care & Maintenance
  We can provide advice on caring for your memorial so it continues to look its best for years to come.
  
• Payment Terms
  Once you've accepted your quotation, a 50% deposit is required to begin production. The remaining balance is due before installation. 

How much does a headstone cost?

The cost of a memorial depends on the stone, size, design, inscription, lettering, artwork and installation requirements. We offer a range of options to suit different budgets and provide a detailed quote before any work begins.

How long does it take to make a headstone?

The timeframe depends on the type of memorial and the amount of custom work involved. For a bespoke memorial, we recommend allowing at least six months where possible. We will provide an estimated timeframe when we prepare your quote.

Can you create a completely custom headstone?

Yes. We can create a memorial that reflects the individual, their life and the things that mattered to them. Bring us your ideas, photographs, sketches or simply tell us their story, and we can work with you to develop a design.

What types of stone can we choose from?

We work with a range of natural stones, including different colours and varieties of granite and other suitable materials. We can help you choose an option that suits the design, location and budget.

Can we include photographs, artwork or cultural designs?

Yes. Photographs, artwork, symbols, patterns and cultural elements can be incorporated into many memorial designs. We will work with you to ensure these elements are meaningful and appropriate for the memorial.

Can you help us with the inscription?

Absolutely. We understand that finding the right words can be difficult. We can help with the layout and presentation of names, dates, verses, whakataukī and other meaningful wording.

Can you make memorials for urupā?

Yes. We work with whānau throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty and East Coast and have experience working with urupā and cemetery requirements. We will help ensure your proposed memorial is suitable for its intended location.

Will we see the design before it is made?

Yes. For custom memorials, we provide a design proof for you to review and approve. We want you to be completely comfortable with the inscription and design before production begins.

Do you install headstones?

Yes. We can arrange the installation of your completed memorial and work through the requirements of the cemetery or urupā where necessary.

Sometimes the best place to start is simply telling us about the person you are remembering. From there, we can talk through the options and help you create something that feels right for them and your whānau.

What is the payment process?

Once you have chosen your memorial and we have confirmed the details, we will provide you with a written quote outlining the costs involved.

A deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due at the agreed stage of the process, this is usually prior to the headstone being installed or picked up.  Your quote will clearly outline the payment requirements, so there are no surprises along the way.

Can I design my own memorial online?

Yes. Our online memorial builder allows you to explore different options and create your own headstone design from the comfort of home.

You can experiment with different styles, layouts, inscriptions and finishes before submitting your design to our team. It is a great place to start if you already have an idea of what you would like.

Our team can then work with you to refine the design and make sure it is suitable for production and installation.
